maker of professional whistles. Now, by popular demand, the Rescue
Howler is available separately.
This ultra-light whistle is extremely loud. It is one of the loudest
whistle that are out there. Because of it's pealess design, it there
are no little balls inside of it. If it gets wet, you can simply
blow out the water and it works perfectly well. Its triple-frequency
design exceeds SOLAS and U.S. Coast Guard specifications.
There was a cub scout recently who was lost in the words and there
was a whole search party looking for him. Even specially trained
dogs trying to pick up his scent. For 4 days they looked for him
before he was finally found. One of the most striking things that
I picked up on was that this little boy heard the rescuers calling
out for him. He yelled and yelled trying to get their attention
but the rescuers never heard him.
Luckily, there was a happy ending to this. But if he had had a
loud whistle, he could have been saved much sooner. When he heard
them calling for him, he could have responded by blowing his whistle
and getting their attention. With one of these extremely loud rescue
whistles, the search party would have known exactly where to go
to find him.
