Giving you a comfortable night of rest, this self inflating sleeping pad provides a foam and air cushion between you and the ground that is hard to beat when in the outdoors. A great camping companion, you will thoroughly enjoy a restful slumber when it's time to turn in for the night.
How does the sleeping mat self inflate?
Inside is spongy foam that rids itself of air when you roll up the sleeping pad. The air is expelled through a valve that closes and seals off the inside. While rolled up for storage or transport, there is very little air inside making the mattress compact in size.
To re-inflate, you simply open the valve and allow the pad to suck in all the air that it lost when you compressed it all out. The foam naturally takes in the air and self inflates. Once it's filled, you close the valve which prevents the contained air from escaping and you have yourself a nice place to sleep.
The straps are permanently connected to the mat so no chance of losing them and they'll be right there when it's time to pack up. Great option for car camping or trekking into the woods till you find that perfect spot.
You can attach the whole roll to the top or bottom of your pack and it adds about 3 lbs.
Staying off the ground prevents loss of heat through the process of conduction. Having a barrier between your body and the ground keeps you warmer than sleeping directly on the ground.
